TopSticks

Temitope Odebiyi, popularly known as TopSticks is an award winning drummer from Nigeria.

Her successful drumming career has given her both local and International recognition. She has been profiled and featured on several local and International news agencies, Television Stations and Media Platforms including Guardian, Kenya’s Africa24 Media, MTN Foundation and the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC.

As a life coach and Inspirational speaker, she has facilitated several leadership programmes and summits in Nigeria. Topsticks holds a certificate in Servant Leadership – The Deciding Difference, Management Strategies for People and Resources and Understanding the right of Women and Girls, from Young African Leaders Initiative. She was awarded Youth of the Year 2017 and 2018 at Breath of Life.

She holds a Diploma in Music from Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) School of Music, Diploma in Law from Olabisi Onabanjo University, a trained percussionist from Peterking’s College of Music, Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Diplomatic Studies, Masters in History & Strategic Studies and PhD in view.

Topsticks has been under the mentorship and tutelage of her Pastor, Bishop S.P. Jedafe. Her sense of responsibility has seen her grow to become the Pastor of the Breath of Life Ministry Youth Church where she also anchors a session for Entrepreneurs, being one herself. She is working towards becoming the Chancellor of TOUZAR UNIVERSITY.

Her music journey has been inspired by so many great musicians including Herbie Hancock, Sheila E, Steve Smith, Dave Weckl, Chester Thompson, Calvin Rodgers, K Sticks among others. She is currently the Official drummer and band director at Breath of Life and also trains drummers virtually and in class.
